The Evil Eye...

Note to Self: When mashing that button on top to begin to spray paint, point that hole AWAY from your face and designer eyeglasses. Geeze Louise. I get so tired of being the entertainment everywhere I go. It slap wears me out. Luckily I had not shaken the new can enough and all that came out was clear goo. It took some scrubbin'...but it all came off of my glasses.  (loud exhale with puffed out cheeks)

O is for OOPS!...

So glad you're no worse for the experience. It sounds like we have the same problems...thank goodness we can laugh at ourselves as well as at each other! :)

I've done this before. Our last house I spray painted right outside the door so I could hear my newborn son if he cried. I cried when I realized our green (ugh) house had a big pink patch. Atleast you had your glasses on to protect your eyes.

I am so glad that I'm not the only one who does things like that! I just love to use spray paint on anything I can get my hands on. Yesterday, even though it was quite windy here, I was bound and determined to spray a tall metal arch that I have in one of my flower gardens. Well, I should have waited for a calmer day! The arch turned out fine, but the wind changed and I got a fine mist in my contacts! Luckily they weren't a new pair!

You mean I'm not the only one who does that??!! LOL

I am also guilty of doing this then I had to look around and make sure no neighbors saw me! Mine was black spray paint.

Hahahahahahaha! OK, now I have never squirted myself with spray paint, but I have sprayed hair spray under my arms, squeezed hand cream on my toothbrush, and other similar disasters.

I can relate. It gets so frustrating having to slow down and make sure everything is lined up correctly when we're in a hurry to get started on our creativity. I'm glad you're ok :)

Thank goodness you had glasses on and it didn't get in your eyes. Happy you were able to get the stuff off your glasses.

Ok, I got one better. I was about 15 and I should have known better but I still did it. I was trying to fix a spray can with a hammer. Yep face full of spray paint, not good at all. I know I had to do a lot of scrubbing. I came to thank you for visiting my garden white. Happy painting.

If you hadn't had your glasses on it could have been a lot worse and very painful.
Glad you scrubbed up o.k.

So funny because if it hasn't happened to us already it could any day. I have a friend who has a saying "If I don't like it, I just spray paint it!" Words to live by.

Love your Mother's day gift idea!

SO glad I found your blog - and glad to hear I'm not alone in things like this. I grabbed a can from a special spot in the pantry last week, that I thought was basting spray. 'Twas cooking spray - thank goodness it only hit the batting and not the fabric underneath, before I realized.

What a totally adorable stop on the Alphabe-Thursday "O" train!

You just made me laugh.

Especially after I was cooking dinner and instead of reaching for the Pam sprayed the inside of my skillet with window cleaner.

Sigh.

One of those days.

Thanks for making the Letter "O" so fun and thanks for joining us!

A+

Funny! Do you remember spray deodorant? I picked that up a couple of times over the years when not paying attention instead of hair spray. Thank goodness for solid deodorant because my eyes are certainly not getting any better!
